I just saw a brief article about her in the New Yorker last month.

When I was growing there was a woman that lived nearby that survived Buchenwald. She was good friends with my in-laws, and she spoke at many local schools. She was an incredible speaker, and I got to know her better through my wife and my wife's parents. There is something about hearing history from people that witnessed/endured it that books (and photos) cannot capture.

She spent a few hours with my sons a few years ago (before she died at age 95), and they remember her well. They still remember her "11th commandment" - "Thou shalt not be a bystander."
