Since the Houston Baptist game was determined by 2K Classic

what options does VT have in the future? FWIW the Pre-Season NIT and some of the other big regular season tournaments have 1-2 games scheduled on a participating team's home court before the start of the bracket (or after the bracket is complete in the case of this year's 2K Classic). Should VT dictate who they are willing to play on their home court as a condition for participating in whatever tournament? Say nothing and let the chips fall where they may? Or tell whatever tournament, "Thanks, but no thanks?"

What I find odd about the board referencing the Houston Baptist game is a good number of posts make it sound like VT had a "choice" about the game. When in reality VT may not have any choice and still be allowed to participate in the 2K Classic. It appears the only games VT had a choice with this year was The Citadel, Morehead State, Radford, MD-Eastern Shore, Kentucky, Presbyterian, and NC A&T. At least I don't think any of those games were associated with the 2K Classic ora requirement for some conference challenge. I am not including Ole Miss because it was the second game in a home-home series.
