The officiating last night really was atrocious.

I think Duke probably would have still won had the game been called evenly. But it just infuriates me that there appears to be one set of rules for Duke and a different set of rules for whomever they happen to be playing if the game is in Cameron.

On one play, Kerry Blackshear was firmly established in his defensive position. The Duke center forcefully backed into him, knocked him back at least a foot, and the proceeded to drive to the basket and score. TV clearly showed that one of the officials was looking right at it and still wouldn't blow the whistle on what should have been an obvious charging call. As a defender, Blackshear is entitled to his spot on the floor. I was watching at a sports bar so I couldn't hear the audio, but I'm told one of the announcers pointed that out. I know it's only one play, but it's sadly become typical whenever we play Duke or UNC at their place.

I lost count of how many times our guys got hammered inside on a shot attempt or a rebounding attempt with no foul being called. Yet, on the other end, Duke's offensive players regularly got those calls.

How many times since Buzz has been here have we not attempted so much as a single free throw in an entire half of basketball???

I have nothing against Duke's players. They are very, very good. But the way that the officials in the ACC bend over for Coach K and Roy Williams year after year sickens me. We've seen it happen way too many times now for it to be just coincidence and I'll bet you that a strong majority of the fans of every other team in the ACC would agree.
