because of this number 2 becomes number 3?

Makes no sense..... and coaches do take into account preseason tournaments and previous seasons performances ( well unofficially anyway). Jared Haught has wins over 9 wrestlers in the current top 20 over the past two seasons. I dont think there is 97 in the field who has as many wins over top 20 opponents as Jared does...
