I wish I had homeschooled my youngest.


My oldest did fine in school but my younger one was one of the 20% that did not fit in the education format that is geared toward the 80%. I would have been better at teaching her and did my best to enhance what she was working on (or wasn't working on). I feel like the school day was a waste of time for her -- time that would have been better spent by her sleeping in and being refreshed to work with me later. I talked to her a couple of times about it and she was adamant that we were not going to homeschool. Grades K-12 were awful, but she thrived when she got to college and could work on her own time frame and interests. All is good now (she's is going to be a super senior at VT next year) but life might have been much better for all of us if she had been home schooled. Hindsight.
