Just do like MK above. Set your PC up to dual boot Window and Mint


Mint will be the easiest linux flavor to transition to. Read up a little about the install so you get your drive partitioned right. You can also look up / research and get GRUB - GRand Unified Bootloader - to setup a nice clean boot tool. Graphically let's you make the choice to boot Windows or Mint when you power up.
