They last longer and because of the ECU and use of turbos are very tunable


There is definitely an enthusiast bump as well- kids (and kids at heart) who like smoky noisy turbo diesels make up probably 10% of truck ownership here in Richmond.

I owned a Ford 7.3 but my commute is far too short to even warm up the engine block so I bought gas next time around.
