On an ocean ship crossing from Hawaii to Japan we hit a typhoon.....

I was seven & the rough water had no affect on me but most of the passengers were sick. The crew would rope tie them to the railing on the boat so they could bark over the side without falling into the ocean. The galley was closed but one of the crew made me a pbj sandwich. I opened the door to the deck with all the sick people and took a big bite of my pbj sandwich, with jelly oozing out the sides. The sick people turned around to see who was there, saw the jelly ooze and then one-by-one heaved over the side. A lasting memory from my childhood.
