Follow the money. Who pays the bills?

Hospitals charge so much because they have to make up for all the folks who need care and can't pay for it, not to mention risk management/malpractice insurance. Insurance companies oblige them and pay the claims, passing the cost on to their customers through higher premiums.

Government loans and grants pay for college. As long as the government keeps paying, the tuition keeps climbing.
