Oh please - Cuse-Duke in 2014?


That's a story about one game in 2014 when Syracuse basketball was ranked (momentarily) No. 2 in the country and playing Duke, which probably has almost as much of a following in NYC as Syracuse does.

When Syracuse-NCSU or Syracuse-UVa draws a really big number in NYC and Syracuse is having just an ordinary, top 15-30 year, maybe THEN one can say that Syracuse brings the New York market.

I'll grant you that Syracuse will attract more attention in NYC than most ACC schools, but not in football and not much different than Notre Dame, Duke or UNC would in basketball. I was in NYC just last weekend and I don't recall seeing anyone wearing Syracuse apparel, notwithstanding the fact that I sampled about 8-10 Irish pubs over the course of three days.
