Although the odds of Pitt beating ND today and then defeating VT back to back are long I don't want to give the Committee any thought of dropping us (especially if there is a bid stealer or two in other conference tournaments). So the downside of a loss to Pitt is potentially devastating whereas a loss to ND is survivable in terms of NCAAs.

The upside of beating Pitt IMO is very limited- we more easily advance to the quarters where we may be able to have another big win/upset. But let's be honest- the chance of us cutting down the nets Sat night (3 upsets) are very very remote.

My analysis leads me to say Go Irish this afternoon.
