Playing MT would suck, but playing them in Nashville would be so typical
of our luck related to scheduling this year. MT is a very ND-like team – led by very experiences seniors, will inside-out you to death, and drill 3s when you over-commit. It would be a terrible matchup for VT, and playing them in Nashville would make it a home game for them. So, this is actually the exact scenario I'm expecting, since we are VT.
Yes, I know that these predictions mean nothing, but this is actually the exact scenario I am envisioning. It would fit in perfectly with VT drawing shoulda-been-5-seed Wisconsin last year, then playing by far the hardest schedule in 15-team-ACC history, then drawing the greatest 10 seed in any conference tournament's history ever (which would've been followed by playing the next 3 best teams, too – Duke, UNC/Miami winner, and UVA). I know we've somehow lucked out with injuries this year (save Outlaw), but the basketball gods found a different way to stick it to VT, as usual.
