J Rob does get some contact going to the rim but, I do not have the perception that he is not protected. I think the non calls fall more to the fact that J Rob when he goes to the rim tends to fade away and try a circus move instead of taking it in to the defender's chest and drawing contact. Note, I like the him going to the rim I just think that if you watch the slow motion lots of time the body contortions are more attributable to him sliding, minimizing contact as opposed to direct contact with a defender creating an advantage/disadvantage situation and this is what officials on the floor and closer to the play see.
