You see here, the Ibis is a Threskiornithidae in the Pelecaniformes order


The "HokieBird" has no such scientific classification, so, therefore, is not a member of the aves class.

I am troubled that canis lupus wasn't considered to be a dog. Of course, I know that canis lupus familiaris is not exactly the same, but bears distinct familial likenesses.
