Schadenfreude

(/ˈʃɑːdənfrɔɪdə/; German: [ˈʃaːdn̩ˌfʀɔɪ̯də]) is pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others. This word is taken from German and literally means 'harm-joy.' It is the feeling of joy or pleasure when one sees another fail or suffer misfortune.

Everyone does it at some point but in my opinion it’s a bad look.

If your rival loses to a 16 seed is there really anything else that needs to be said?

As a VT fans we have more than our fair share of utterly embarrassing losses, simply not on this big of stage.

I am not advocating for UVa to win every game or not have terribly embarrassing losses but there are many folks reveling in this which I struggle with.
