with respect to Wright. The price people were throwing around was north of $2M/yr. I find it really hard to believe that Weaver was willing to pay that much to bring in a coach, but we ended up with James Johnson at $680k/yr. Maybe he just had a thing for Jay Wright and not so much VT basketball. It just doesn’t really add up to me... especially when you consider the fiasco with CFB and bulk of Weaver’s hires over the years. Regardless, I’m glad Whit is doing the hiring these days.
