would kill it with the SEC at least. I think you should have to win your conference to get in, but I don't think it would fly. VT is probably never getting in as an at large team, so this works in our favor - win the conference and we are guaranteed a shot.

But what would happen if the Coastal was a scrum one year and someone got into the championship game on tie breakers with 3 conference losses or something and then upset the undefeated Atlantic champ? Out rage is what and it would probably lead to the disillusion of the divisions (which is ok with me too) and everyone going to the B12 model.
