I have to agree with your take that it's not just ball players

After receiving my BS degree from VT I relocated to a different state and had completed more than half of an MBA degree. I was then transferred back to Va and I asked to complete my MBA at VT. They offered to accept only six hours in transfer - those other eight courses were not going to be re-done at VT because I'd already suffered through them once. This is how they treated an alum, so I get it, but that's the policy and I can't expect special treatment just because my undergrad degree is from Tech. See what I'm saying here - nobody gets special treatment just because they got a degree from VT. BTW, I completed the MBA at a different state's university and then another Masters degree at yet another state's university. IMHO Tech lost out on another 7-8 years of graduate tuition in my case, but again, that's the policy.
