Same here.
He played defense at Blacksburg his junior year when I watched him. I don't know about his senior year as I didn't see any Blacksburg games. He's about 6'1, 185ish as of December. Add 15 pounds of muscle and get to 200, and I want to see what he can do at the Whip. I know he can run in space. I know he can drop back in coverage, and a back out of the backfield isn't going to outrun him. Time will tell. He may become an All-American Running Back. I sure hope so. I still believe when all is said and done (my opinion only), he's playing the Whip position and the dude may be able to play it well like a Brandon Semones. I don't buy into the position that this kid or that kid is strictly a defensive or offensive player, etc. I've seen that switch made to many times at Virginia Tech and other schools over the years. Whether it's a D guy going to O, or vice-versa. If you have the tools, the coaches can often make you fit into a certain position (again, if you have the tools). Beck has the tools to play the Whip position at Tech. (Not saying he will) but he's got some skills. [Post edited by OakIslandNCHokie at 05/20/2018 11:33AM]
