Your math is faulty, IMHO


The athletic department sets season-ticket prices based on the full season and then works backwards. They try to keep the season-ticket price relatively stable or slightly upward, depending upon the number of home games. Witness their comments about needing to keep next year being roughly the same price as this year. The loss of Michigan for MTSU won't affect season-ticket prices.

So the missing money is solely from single-game tickets. And that's between $800,000-$1,200,000, if you figure an $80 difference at 10-15K seats. And that's max -- the "lost" money goes down the closer we get to selling out season tickets. If we have a season ticket sellout, all we lose is the extra $80 to the 5,000 visiting fans, or $400,000.

It's not chump change, but it's hardly earth-shattering amounts.
