I don't know about you, but I made a variety of different kinds of mistakes when I was younger. Each one taught me something and I learned from each situation. As a result, my beliefs, attitudes, choices, habits, etc. changed (and improved) during those formative years.

I'm sorry that your experience in this life has been that people who make a mistake are doomed to make a bunch more mistakes -- that probably leads one to have a pretty dismal view of human nature.
