Hate to be a negative Nancy

but I just looked up VT's record in Tallahassee. We haven't won there since 1974 when we won 56-21. Jimmy Sharpe was our coach back then. FSU was 1-10 that year. That was before the Bobby Bowden era started.

FSU is 23-12-1 in the series..

I'm usually pretty PATT, especially this time of year. But my best friend died, and I ain't feeling too good myself. For the first time in many years I'm worried about the bowl streak. I expect losses to FSU, ND, Miami. GT, Pitt and BC make me queasy this year, so there's 6 possible losses, before thinking of our blowing a game we should win.

But my PATT instincts tell me despite only 3 returning starters on D, Bud has about as talented a bunch as he's had in several years. And I think JJax and his O will surprise. By mid-season the frosh and r-frosh have got some experience and are getting better, so we may be playing well. The pollsters have us top 15-ish, so despite our youth maybe Fuente will show us he's a better than expected caliber coach.

My health is deteriorating. I had a scare a couple of weeks age. I thought, "This must be it. Carry me home, Jesus." The docs checked me out, recalibrated my meds, slapped my butt, and said i was good to go out amongst 'em again. But idk...can't be too many seasons left for me, and I hate losing. Still, there's more important things, and getting into heaven is #1 on my bucket list.

GO HOKIES! God bless HokieNation! ☺☺☺
