If they were @ Colorado this weekend instead of @ VT, would they have still cancelled? No way, IMO.

Therefore - the cancellation was entirely based upon a hurricane hitting Blacksburg (it seems), which the forecast doesn't support, and frankly never really did. The only conclusion you can come to is they didn't really want to play the game.
