If the Saturday 9/22 weather forecast for Tampa as of next Wednesday predicts light rain/light winds (like the weather for Blacksburg this Saturday), they should cancel the USF game immediately pack up and head up to their next game at ODU. And they should continue with their "we don't play in wet weather policy" through the rest of the year. They will probably only get to play about 1/2 of their schedule, but at least the team will be safe!
If they had stayed in Greenville to be with families and the rest of the student body, I'd be okay with that. But they went to Florida. So please be consistent.
And I don't understand the backlash against Babcock. He made a reasonable request. It probably would have been best had he not included that fact in his statement, but the fact that he did tells me he was perturbed (feel free to substitute a stronger term) about this absurd decision by ECU.
