A redshirt freshman, recruited by 17 P-5 schools including Michigan, Michigan State, USC and Nebraska, who needs to grow into prototypical size for a DT. He has added about 25 pounds since his senior year in high school but needs to add another 25. Still not sure how much he will contribute but the kid has great bloodlines. His dad played 13 seasons for the Detroit Lions add is 3rd all time for the Lions in games played and first in sacks. He was a first round draft pick in 1992 and a three time All-Pro at DE. The 1997 All-Pro team had 3 DE's; Porcher III, Michael Strahan and our own Bruce Smith. It will be interesting to see how much Porcher IV can develop in the coming years with our S & C program.
