Montgomery is in his third year, delivering back to back 3-9 seasons.

As we know, the Pirates are 1-1. Upsetting UNC was yuge for ECU. Avoiding the Hokies was very convenient. But now that 9/22 trip to South Florida looms large.

The good news is ECU has Houston, UCF and Memphis at home in the friendly confines of Dowdy-Ficklin Stadium in October. But it will be mildly interesting to see if Montgomery can the Pirates to six wins over the next nine games.
