That's not to say that he doesn't deserve a starting job, but IMO, he's one of those guys who is on the cusp and will go back and forth between being a starter and being a backup. He's a capable player for the position for a team that has no QBs or has a younger guy that they want to groom. Or he's one of the better backup QBs in the league. But he was never going to be a 10 year starter for some franchise.
