Yep. I'm a Redskins fan and literally forgot they were playing today


I completely blanked and just watched Netflix with my wife. That's how bad the NFL has gotten. It's irrelevant to the point that I don't even remember when the games are on. I just find the entire overall experience irritating (especially if you're a Skins fan). Not just one single thing, just an accumulation of the political crap, the ludicrous prices, the bad and terribly overpriced concessions, the belligerent fans you're forced to be around. Just everything about it sucks to me.

At least for me, college football still retains that "magic" that makes it just a special experience. It's just that same totality, but in the opposite sense: family atmosphere, tradition, teamwork, academic environment, togetherness, the great tailgates, great to bring kids. I just love college football as much as I ignore the NFL these days.
