One, that's not true. Two, as you know ratings this early in the season


are generally not that meaningful except for a hanfull of teams like Alabama, who are highly likely - but not guaranteed - to end up close to where they are ranked now.

My point about VT's top 10 ranking this early in the season (if that happens) will hold up if we win all or almost all of our future games against better competition. I personally wouldn't rank ANY team in the top 10 after 2 or 3 wins if those wins were against this year's FSU, William and Mary, and ODU, but that's my opinion and it's not a reflection on what we hopefully will acheive this year, it's solely an opinion based on the quality of our opponents/wins this early in the season.

Yeah it's obvious that the team rankings are based on what has happened so far and what the voters feel SHOULD happen going forward
