Here's my take on this whole situation

Most first year coaches are going to have growing pains. You have an odd mix of a new system, players from the last regime, that awkward first date kind of feeling, and unrealistic expectations. I have no idea if he is the right fit for FSU and I have a hard time believing anyone else does either (boosters included). Or if the Gulf Coast offense is something that can be run at a school like FSU which traditionally gets higher ranked recruits than he is used to. This also seems like a collection of players and not a team in camaraderie/come together aspect of let's bond together and work toward something. There was no excuse for Samford but Syracuse can get up for games like that and run people out of the stadium. They did it to us 2 years ago, Clemson last year. They can't sustain that pace for an entire year (or at least not to date) but they can get up for a game or two a season.
To paraphrase Bill Parcells: Taggert, instead of shopping for his own groceries, is being asked to whip up the perfect meal on short notice with what the last guy left in the pantry.
Plus no way they pony up $30M or whatever to buy him out. That would be insanity.
