Its a different school small PRIVATE very wealthy academic focused school

They can basically finance a Power fiVe conference, but being a small private school, their student body is smaller, not really north Carolina focused, and more on studying than anything else.

So, 35k is about right for them, for surge crowds like the VT game.... and hope locals will join in as well. Also, over in Raleigh NC State was in town.....North carolina triad is not so football crazy that fans would go to the State game early and then slip over to Durham.

Duke is a perfect game for VT fan base living away from blacksburg, in the NC triad, and Hampton Roads. Most of VT alumni are far from blacksburg and its hard to get to a game. (between lodging constraints, higher price tickets and time to drive 4-5 hrs each way) its tough.

At Duke, tickets cheap easy to get, good seats and lots of your hokie friends and family. That is not rocket science
