But never again with the stripe effect. Student section obviously did not know what was going on (And most of us want to sport our maroon jerseys). Plus, the best thing about games in Lane are the down-to-earth aspects. We just want to give off the aspect of a sea of maroon in the stands (which Imo is much more intimating and cooler than a stripe effect). If not that, let's go old school and have a no effect game. Sprinkling maroon and orange throughout the stadium. No fancy stuff.

I wasn't a fan of the phone-light exhibit because no one can clap while holding up the phone. I hate saying it, but doing all this extra stuff just inflates our own egos and our team's egos. Keep the parachuting in aspect, that's awesome. Keep the corps marching in pregame. If Metallica ever wants to give us a little pregame speech, I'm not objecting. But strip the fancy phone light to the Johnny Cash song idea, make those games either a straight maroon/orange out or no effect game, and just stay true to yourself Tech.

It was an intriguing idea to stripe Lane, but never again please.
