today, but, to answer your question, Perkins started out at Arizona State, broke a bone in his neck (in spring practice no less), sat out, transferred to Arizona Western because ASU wanted him to play WR, took Arizona Western to the JUCO national championship game (Arizona Western lost in the final), and then transferred to UVa.

Perkins doesn't give up easily.
