Nikki Giovanni did such an amazing job with the speech she gave April 18, 2007 after the shootings on campus. I wish we could get her to do a similar speech about this football season and the need to rally with the team as "we will prevail" in coming seasons. She captured the Hokie family spirit in that short speech that can not be equaled. Wouldn't it be fantastic if she could do that for all the hurting football players, fans and coaches in Hokie Nation. Love to see that on the Jumbotron in Lane.
