I'm not sure the youth excuse holds any water....

Looking at the roster card:
VT defense averages 2.82 years of experience
Miami offense averages 2.91 years of experiences

VT offense averages 3.27 years experience
Miami offense averages 3.27 years experiences

Let's see how this game unfolds. Maybe you could argue a slim win by Miami is due to a little more experience. But my guess is that the rest of the teams across college football have similar numbers.

It's college football. Every team loses about a fourth of their team each year. The irony is the better teams actually lose more because they have juniors who leave for the draft also.

And of course this only accounts for first string, our second string sophomores and freshman are probably younger than everyone else's freshman and sophomores. (TIC).

This was my metric:
Fr: 1
R-fr: 2
So: 2
R-so: 3
Jr: 3
R-jr: 4
Sr: 4
R-Sr: 5
