Based on LaBlue's recent article - what are your 2019 thoughts?

After a pretty disastrous year, the last two weeks have put a smile on my face. Even before seeing Ricky's article, I was wondering if I should be hopeful for 2019. If you don't want to read all the detail below, just let me know if you expect a worse or better record next year.

Here's my breakdown:

x - QB - no matter who wins the competition, I think we'll be "fine". Even if QP takes the reins, and ends up being the player we all hope, I think they'll be a learning curve.
x - RB - solid, but have we had a complete stud in the backfield since the D. Evans, R. Williams, D. Wilson days? Have we recruited any 4 star ballers at this position in the last 5-10 years? Still ticked we could not seal the deal with D. Ford. Their success will depend on the next position.
x - OL - my untrained eye made it seemed like this years' corps was better at pass blocking than run blocking, but feel free to disagree. There is some good youth here, but not sure how stellar we'll be.
x - WR - very comfortable with our depth here. T. Turner has the potential to be the star of the show.
x - DL - we could have really used T. Settle this year. Now, with R. Walker done, is their anyone of that caliber? Will H. Gaines be back for the start of next season? There is some youth here too, but will next year have a stronger front four than this year? Will we have any depth? Did the problem with this years defense start here?
x - LB - Very hopeful with this group - young, with some depth, and now experience. However, there were some games when it seemed like we couldn't tackle anyone. How much of the blame can be put on LBs?
x - DBs - Safeties/Rovers - hopeful here if we stay healthy (at least the starters). CBs - not so sure. Can they limit the big plays? Will J. Webb make a difference and start? Will they get better at tackling RBs? I'm a bit concerned because I'm not sure if we got better in the D backfield as the season and wondering if next year will have improvement. Do we have a B. Flowers or A. Exum clone red-shirting?
x - Special Teams - was it my imagination, or did O. Bradburn's length decrease as the season went on? Kick-offs were awesome, but never had much faith when lining up for field goals. Does CJF stick with B. Johnson?

It's too bad VT had such a down year because the Coastal was ripe for the taking. Will our division be better next year, and make things harder for VT?

Sorry for the long post, but I really don't know what to expect next year. I am proud of the adversity this team faced, yet still beat Le Snobs and made us bowl eligible against MU.
