“Based on our 2-1 record against the other seven-win teams in the mix and our solo second-place finish in the ACC Coastal [Division] we felt that we should have received one of those two bids,” Stansbury wrote, “and we made that known to the league office and bowl reps.”

News flash; when you have several teams with basically the same record, no one gives a $hit about the record. How many seats can you fill, and how much economic imapct can you have? Clearly, GT fell short in that regard. Bowls are a money grab, thats all.

I mean our bowl destination is much better, purely from a timing perspective. new years eve, and the next day is off for most folks.
