And after a fine decade long run in the '60s


1969 was the start of Jerry Claiborne's demise. His last two seasons were sub .500.

In that '69 'Bama game Tech beat Alabama everywhere but on the scoreboard. Iirc our running back Terry Smoot had over 200 yards rushing yards. I was on the sidelines that day in a packed Lane Stadium that held 42,000 back in those days.
