Camping out in tents for 24+ hours in cold weather just to get tickets to big games, playing in a now forgotten but then extremely exciting basketball conference with a couple perennial final 4 contenders and a few other solid programs, a star player who was the absolute best shooter in the nation...it was a great time

We weren't a basketball school for that long, but the founder of this site and a lot of us posters who have been here 20+ years all we're Hokies during that era. That's why you hear about it a lot on TSL. The power of nostalgia is strong. Don't try to tell me that the cheese steaks at Philly Chee Steaks on College Avenue weren't as good as anything you can get on Passyunk Avenue in Philly! I refuse to believe it.
