Much of this shortfall was due to Beamers last year and Fuente's 1st. A sheer lack of getting quality DT's and corners 3 years ago. DE's 4 yrs ago. Tech has limited experience with a single player leaving early and last year they had 3 leave with 2 selected in the 1st round. And then 3 suspended for academic and discipline issues. This was a purely GUTTED DEFENSE, but there is hope that the youth has learned and will be stronger. Look at Dax and Ashby have shown tons of talent to build upon. Others will come around. And in 2020 if Tech is 10 & 2 and goes to the ACC Championship game will you eat your words.
