Go watch a game in which you have absolutely no rooting interest.

Evaluate the announcers and determine who you think they’re “rooting” for. Then go to the message boards of both fan bases and see what they say. I’m guessing you’ll find that when you have no “side” to cheer for, the announcers are pretty objective, but when you are a fan of either team, those announcers absolutely hate YOUR team and are obviously pulling for the other side.
You might even find out the same thing applies to the officials...
