Of course we want a top 25 program in both sports. No doubt. However, that is a taller order for VT than the “many” other schools that have perineal top 25 programs. I think the simple difference is money.

Also, is having a couple “top 25ish” programs good enough for you? Perhaps so, but man, wouldn’t it be nice to smell a championship again?

Also, we aren’t a top 25 or top 25ish program in football right now and it doesn’t look like we will be for a while. Our football program is really bad. Can we turn it around? Sure. However, if I had to be on Fuente versus Buzz right now, I’d bet on Buzz. And frankly, we don’t have enough money to keep both fat and happy........soooo, I know who I would dump my money on.
