at that point all they had done was win the ACC championship in 2010. ACC was won by FSU in 2011,2012, and 2013. They blew by everyone in terms of revenue and since ACC splits everything equally the delta is giving.

We can sit there and say it wasn't about the money, but it was. We won 4 ACC championships and our giving remained flat. Fact is Clemson is/was run better (current AD grade to be deteremined) and our alumni are too fickle to recongnize we got beat by a better run team from an optics perspective.

We all want to say Clemson didn't start getting money until they started winning NCs, which is simply not true. A great coaching staff and an increase in giving is what got them there as they didn't win their first NC until 2016.
