After some time to digest last night's debacle, some thoughts....

this team is fun to watch when they are running the floor and making 3's. And their defense is most of the time much better than last year. The problem I see is we only have 1 player who can make something happen on their own. That's #5 and the opposing defenses have already figured out the key to stopping us is frustrating #5. The result is he is pressing and trying to force his game resulting in poor shots, ill advised passes and out of control drives. Our wings can sometimes find their groove and nail 3's but they need to be wide open. None of them except sometimes Hill and NAW appear to be able to make a play on their own. That leaves Blackshears. He seems like a great person and teammate but often makes really poor basketball decisions. He waste 50% of his fouls on needless defensive efforts and on offense he's not very efficient when playing against opposing players who's as tall or taller than him. He often puts the ball on the floor getting tied up, takes way too many outside shots, and finishes weak around the basket. The film is out on this team and I'm afraid that this season will be more challenging than we had all hoped.
