As mentioned on this board, he interviewed with Locksley to be the DB's coach several weeks ago. Terps wanted him, but DHall got word that the Skins were also interested and interviewed him last week. He had to turn down Maryland, as he didn't want to pull a Kingsbury and jump to the Skins if they came through with an offer. Pretty admirable position, that integrity will only help with any future suitors.
Interestingly, DHall was recommended to Locksley by Saban. DHall has spent some time at Bama and seemingly developed a good rapport with Saban.
DHall said he's ready to coach, but didn't want to relocate his family just yet. Next year he may be ready to relocate. He felt like a DB coach towards the end of his Skins career, working with the younger players. He knows Sean McVay, which seems to be a prerequisite to get hired in the NFL these days.
