NC govs comments show how little leverage ECU has.

If ECU had other pathways for bringing Tech back to Greenville, they would not be appealing to the governor to do their bidding. It also goes to show that the governor himself has no actual leverage. If publicity is his best available tool to apply pressure, then he has little else to go on.

As far as I’m concerned, I couldn’t care less what the NC gov thinks. He might think it’s a bad look for Tech but I think it’s a bad look for him to speak out as he has. Does that mean he should back off? Because I think it’s a bad look for him? I sincerely hope Whit brushes this off. I can’t think of any reason in the world why he should care what the NC governor thinks.

In the end, if ECU pushes on this hard enough with this false narrative about them being the victim, eventually, we will have to defend ourselves and put the truth out there. Not so sure that will be good for ECU. They should take their sore feelings and go home. Sometimes things don’t go your way. Whether or not you think it’s fair is immaterial.
