I don't think his decision is going to change our NET ranking at all.


The difference between an 8 and 10 point loss (it is capped at 10 so a 12 point loss is a 10 point loss) in the grand scheme of the full schedule likely will not move our final NET ranking at all, it might be more important for the committee seeding than for the NET! If the committee sees we only lost by 8 versus 12+ and they know JRob didn't play will have a much bigger effect on seeding than any change in NET based on 2 points. I could be wrong as no one knows the formula, which is kind of crazy in itself. I would have preferred we fouled and tried to win. I don't consider it genius....maybe over analyzing the situation.
