VT just hung with the #3 team in the country, and played them tough, the whole game. Having seen Notre Dame in person at JPJ, here's the deal: clog up the paint (via Blackshear) and keep Mooney from feasting down there. Mooney is a legit player and #10 for them can also shoot the 3. But having seen both Hokies and ND in person this year, Hokies (even w/o Robinson) are clearly the better team.

Miami seems to be uncharacteristically struggling this year. Larranaga is a great coach; maybe they just had a down year recruiting-wise a couple cycles ago? I have not followed them closely. They will be tougher than ND (my recall is that they gave UNC a scare). But I think Hokies win that one as well. Buzz is a hell of a coach and is doing an amazing job given the injuries and attrition, in the eyes of this Wahoo.
