People had the same doubts about his game translating at the NBA level that they did translating to the college game. He just cleared every hurdle once he got to it.

Its true he had a cult following in college, but that only makes it more incredible that not many projected his success at the NBA level.

Most people actually made the argument that he wasnt ready. Which sounds....ahem....familiar.
