Or we'll always be a challenger to them. The schools are academic peers. The campus' have their own beauty and desirability. Just like Oregon has Nike, UNC has MJ.

I concur with the statement that Mack Brown is to old to make a permanent difference in the rivalry. He would need three or four classes to make a difference, and then, you're still not competing with Clemson. Mack will be dead, or forced back into retirement before he gets the Heels back. But even then, I think he'll find the game has passed him by.

That said, don't fool yourself to thinking VT can ever be simply better then UNC. Cheating aside, people generally like the program. To much history, to much draw for the average fan. Tech needs to position itself to go 15 rounds in a heavyweight title fight with UNC.
